The offer of our house is very large. We offer home-style german cuisine with daily changing meals. You can also choose from our wide range of drinks.
Our ground-floor restaurant seats a total of 250 guests in four rooms with different designs.
The focal point is the rustic Schankraum with its dark furnishings, pewter tabletops and a 10-metre-long bar. The Kaminzimmer for roughly 40 guests has a cosy atmosphere centring around the historical Villeroy & Boch fireplace dating back to 1880. With their historical floor tiles and large windows, the Eckzimmer – corner room – and Wintergarten or conservatory have a fantastic view of the Blue Wonder and the Elbe.
In good weather, however, our guests emerge from our lovely indoor areas to enjoy the terrace with its marvellous view of the beer garden, the Elbe and the Loschwitz heights.
The SchillerGarten has managed to secure the famous Dresden Feldschlößchen brewery as a partner, and also revived one of the Feldschlößchen brewery’s old brands. With a special bottling just for the SchillerGarten, we have brought a significant speciality back for the people of Dresden: Pichmännel or “Männel-Bier”, a big hit in GDR times.
Whether you prefer a pleasantly bitter Pilsner, a naturally cloudy, refreshing draft beer or citrusy, sparkling mixed beer drinks, Feldschlößchen brand beers have a taste to suit almost every palate.
As well as classic beers such as Pilsner, Kellerbier or popular cloudy mixed beer drinks such as Radler (shandy), the brewery also releases seasonal specialities.
Among others, the quaffable, tangy Maibock in May, or the Pichmännel beer specially brewed for Oktoberfest bring good cheer to the beer garden. Relish the taste of real Dresden beers – with Feldschlößchen. They’re everything you hope for!
At the SchillerGarten, the famous Paulaner brewery from Munich meets the needs of wheat beer enthusiasts.
Its Hefe-Weißbier is the No. 1 wheat beer in Germany and one of the world’s most popular. The hazy golden amber hues glow in the glass beneath a towering head of froth that really deserves the name. This classic Munich wheat beer has a gentle banana smell immediately on pouring. Experts detect a hint of mango and pineapple, and praise the harmonious balance of sweet and bitter flavours. Beer enthusiasts love the delicate, yeasty aroma and delightfully lively yet mild flavour. This is the typical beer garden beer that brings people together from all over the world.
On the ground floor is our à-la-carte area with four rooms: the Schankraum, Kaminzimmer, Eckzimmer and historical Wintergarten. Our restaurant seats a total of 250 guests.
Our beer garden with its ancient trees, right by the Elbe, is one of the largest and loveliest in the city. It has space for some 850 patrons to enjoy food from the self-service area and drinks from the central canopied bar or the beer garden counter. You can enjoy our much-loved bratwurst freshly grilled at all times at our sausage stand.
Maintaining historical traditions, concerts and events are frequently held at the beer garden in the summer, usually with free entry.
In good weather, the canopied bar is even open in the winter, selling hot drinks and mulled wine to patrons and people passing by on a walk. Our little Christmas market, where you can also buy freshly felled Christmas trees from the nearby Ore Mountains, has now become a tradition at the beer garden.
